ABOUT US
The name Felsenburg has a long tradition in Bärenfels – a villa of that name stood here as early as 1908, later replaced by a hotel with a rich history. Today, we continue this tradition with 14 well-appointed rooms, high-quality furnishings, and meticulous attention to detail. Two of our rooms on the first floor feature a private terrace overlooking the surrounding greenery – the perfect retreat after a day spent outdoors.
We are not a hotel with a large restaurant, but rather a place that focuses on peace, quality, and a personal touch. We are happy to prepare breakfast for you upon request – tailored to your individual needs and by prior arrangement.

Fourteen rooms, each with its own shower and high-quality furnishings – comfortably furnished for a stay where you'll feel right at home. Two spacious rooms on the first floor also feature a private terrace, ideal for a quiet morning coffee or an evening under the stars.

Bärenfels lies in the heart of the Eastern Ore Mountains, just a few minutes from Altenberg – a region that has its own charms in every season:
In winter: approximately 80 km of groomed cross-country ski trails between Schellerhau, Altenberg, Rehefeld and Oberbärenburg, directly accessible from Bärenfels. Downhill ski slopes can also be found nearby.
In summer: extensive hiking trails, cycling routes and the quiet beauty of the Ore Mountains forests right on your doorstep.
Year-round: the proximity to Dresden and the sights of the Ore Mountains, combined with the tranquility of a small town far from the hustle and bustle.
